Ubisoft recently announced a brand new Ghost Recon game set in the Tom Clancy universe, though this time it is a free-to-play Battle Royale shooter. Although no official release date has been given yet, Ubisoft will be hosting a Closed Beta test next week, and as such have released some preliminary system requirements.
Thankfully, like most other Battle Royales, the PC specs for Ghost Recon Frontline are not very demanding, meaning anyone with mid-range hardware should be able to comfortably play at a decent frame rate and resolution, whilst lower-end systems will still be able to participate as well. Ubisoft hasn't given the full specs yet unfortunately, but their wording suggests the below requirements are unlikely to change much before launch.
So let's get to it and take a look at the Ghost Recon Frontline PC system requirements...
Ghost Recon Frontline minimum system requirements - 1080p / Low graphics settings
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
- RAM: 8GB
- GPU RAM: 4GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 / Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 / Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 470
Ghost Recon Frontline recommended requirements - 1080p / High graphics settings
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- RAM: 16GB
- GPU RAM: 6GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 480
You will need a Core i7-6700K or Ryzen 5 1600 processor coupled with a GTX 1060 or RX 480 graphics card in order to meet the Ghost Recon Frontline recommended system requirements. With this setup, you should get 60fps performance on High graphics settings at 1080p. You will also need 16GB of RAM to reach the recommended specs.
Looking at the Ghost Recon Frontline minimum system requirements you will need at least a GTX 670 / GTX 760 / GTX 960 or RX 470 GPU along with a Core i5-4460 or Ryzen 3 1200 CPU, as well as at least 8GB of system memory. This should then deliver 60fps performance on Low graphics settings at 1080p resolution.
Overall, looking at the specs above, Ghost Recon Frontline will need around a 5 year old PC in order to run at its best.
