Every game with confirmed Nvidia RTX ray-tracing and DLSS support
By Jon Sutton on October 23rd, 2019 at 03:17pm - original article from game-debate

With both Nvidia’s GeForce RTX Super series and ¬¬gc_id:4548[AMDs Radeon RX 5700]¬¬ graphics cards now on store shelves, the trickiest part for gamers is deciding which to go for. Nvidia’s RTX graphics cards typically command a bit of a price premium, but they’ve also got an ace up their sleeves in the form of real-time ray-tracing support.

Whether you want to stump up the extra cash for an RTX GPU probably comes down to how interested you are in the nascent ray-tracing technology. The catch here is ray-tracing comes with prohibitive performance costs, while you’re also paying through the nose for first-generation technology. Still, it offers a fascinating peek at where gaming visuals are headed next.

To help make your decision a little easier, here are all of the games which are so far confirmed to support either Nvidia RTX ray-tracing or DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling). In the case of those which support DXR (DirectX Ray-Tracing), they will look superior on Nvidia GeForce hardware.

DLSS isn’t exactly a fantastic reason to go out and buy a GeForce RTX graphics card although it will certainly provide some performance enhancements. It’s the ray-tracing that us licking our lips at the prospect of picking up a ¬¬gc_id:4551[GeForce RTX 2070 Super]¬¬ though. However, the list is still looking pretty threadbare.

Big upcoming games include Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, Control, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, and er, that’s about it. It’s difficult to gauge whether splashing the cash on an RTX graphics card specifically for the ray-tracing features is worth it, although hopefully this list goes some way to helping you decide.
