Ride 3 PC System Requirements Revealed
By Jon Sutton on October 15th, 2018 at 12:29pm - original article from game-debate

The busy folks at Milestone are back with yet another racer. Ride 3 follows in the tracks of Ride 2, having taken 2017 off to revamp the series' third outing. Ride 3 will be the most feature-packed game yet in the motorbike racing series, offering over 30 tracks and more than 230 unique bike models, both contemporary and historic. Before you start testing that hog out for size though, be sure to give the Ride 3 PC system specs a once-over.

Ride 3 Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8100 2.8 GHz
  • RAM: 8 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 760 or Radeon HD 7950
  • DX: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 23 GB Available Hard Drive Space

Ride 3 Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-2600 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz
  • RAM: 16 GB System Memory
  • GPU RAM: 4 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 4GB or AMD Radeon R9 390 4GB
  • DX: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 23 GB Available Hard Drive Space

Usually, with these regularly updated racing games, we don't see much chopping and changing with the system specs. However, Ride 3's system requirements are markedly different from Ride 2, offering more demanding minimum specs and less demanding recommended specs. This contraction in requirements is quite unusual, although it may perhaps show Milestone has a more precise idea of the actual system requirements for Ride 3 this time around, based on feedback from Ride 2.

The minimum GPUs for Ride 3 have risen from a GeForce GT 640 or Radeon HD 6670 all the way up to a GeForce GTX 760 or Radeon HD 7950. They're by no means high-end in this day and age, but it's still a big jump. However, minimum CPUs remain much the same.

As for the recommended specs, these take a hefty dip compared to Ride 2. Previously you'd need a GTX 970, now GTX 960 or Radeon R9 390 will do the job. The major caveat here is you'll need a GTX 960 with at least 4GB VRAM. That's not a problem for Radeon R9 390's, but there are a lot of 2GB GTX 960's and they could struggle at 1080p in Ride 3.
