Jurassic World Evolution Minimum System Requirements Revealed
By Jon Sutton on June 5th, 2018 at 03:40pm - original article from game-debate

Thanks to Nvidia, we've got the full system requirements for next week's Jurassic World Evolution. Last time around we only had the minimum specs but now we've got the recommended PC hardware for JW: Evolution. As expected, they fall closely in line with Frontier's other management sim, Planet Coaster. We've added the full system requirements to the original article below.

In addition to this, we've also got the full range of PC graphics settings available to tweak in Jurassic World Evolution. If it's anything like Planet Coaster, Jurassic World Evolution is going to be an immensely demanding game to run, so it's going to be important there's wide range of graphics options to tweak.

Original Story: 29-Mar-2018 - Jurassic World Evolution Minimum System Requirements Revealed

It wasn't the best-kept secret, but Frontier has revealed that Jurassic World Evolution will be coming to PC on June 12th, right in time for the new movie. Jurassic World Evolution is based heavily on Planet Coaster, but this time with an element of danger as players must react to harsh weather conditions, power cuts, and escaped dinosaurs rampaging through their park. It sounds heavenly, to be honest, but is it even more demanding than Planet Coaster? Frontier has provided the official minimum specs for Jurassic World Evolution.

Jurassic World Evolution Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHz or AMD FX-4300 3.8 GHz

  • GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB or Radeon HD 7850 2GB
  • HDD: 8GB Available Hard Drive Space

Jurassic World Evolution Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit

  • GPU RAM: 6 GB Graphics Memory
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580
  • HDD: 8GB Available Hard Drive Space
  • API: DirectX 11

Jurassic World Evolution PC Graphics Settings

Jurassic World Evolution's minimum specs are almost identical to Planet Coaster aside from the graphics cards. For Jurassic World Evolution a GeForce GTX 650 Ti or Radeon HD 7850 is the minimum, while for Planet Coaster it was a GTX 560 or the very same Radeon HD 7850. So, not a whole lot in it then, and then the same applies to the recommended specs. Everything stays the same as Planet Coaster, bar an increase in suggest GPU. Previously, a GeForce GTX 970 would suffice, but now you'll be needing the slightly more powerful GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or a Radeon RX 580. The additional VRAM on offer is likely to come very handy.

If Planet Coaster is any sign, then we can expect JW:E to be extremely resource intensive with the larger parks. Frame rates will be heavily impacted by your CPU. A faster CPU will be able to cope with higher guest counts and larger parks. Fortunately, a, ahem, jurassic park will be considerably less complex than the huge rollercoasters and custom designs of Planet Coaster. It's the dinosaurs plus a few fences, so it should be a lot easier to deal with on the CPU end. This is likely how Jurassic World Evolution is also launching on the consoles, a move which probably isn't possible for Planet Coaster.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the Jurassic World Evolution System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarking and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the Jurassic World Evolution GPU benchmark chart and we also have a Jurassic World Evolution Per Second system performance chart for you to check.
